Parameters

-AsJob: Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.
-CimSession: Runs the cmdlet in a remote session or on a remote computer. Enter a computer name or a session object, such as the output of a New-CimSession or Get-CimSession cmdlet. The default is the current session on the local computer.
-ClientName (required): Specifies the SMB client by name.
-Confirm: Prompts you for confirmation before running the cmdlet.
-DestinationNode (required): Specifies the destination cluster node by name.
-NetworkName: Specifies the network name of the file server to which the client connects.
-ThrottleLimit: Specifies the maximum number of concurrent operations that can be established to run the cmdlet. If this parameter is omitted or a value of 0 is entered, then Windows PowerShell® calculates an optimum throttle limit for the cmdlet based on the number of CIM cmdlets that are running on the computer. The throttle limit applies only to the current cmdlet, not to the session or to the computer.
-WhatIf: Shows what would happen if the cmdlet runs. The cmdlet is not run.

Examples

Example 1: Move a client

Move-SmbWitnessClient -ClientName "Server01" -DestinationNode "FileServer22" -NetworkName "NetName07"

This example requests that the SMB client named Server01 move the associated SMB connection from the current cluster node to the cluster node named FileServer22. This cmdlet does not return any output. The Get-SmbOpenFile cmdlet can be used to validate the client that is moved. The specified SMB client must have an active connection with the cluster for this cmdlet to be effective. Source: Microsoft, CC BY 4.0; transcript prompt/output removed.
