Parameters

-Confirm: Prompts you for confirmation before running the cmdlet.
-Force: Overrides restrictions that prevent the command from succeeding if the restrictions do not compromise security. For example, *Force* overrides the read-only attribute or creates directories to complete a file path, but it does not attempt to change file permissions.
-Password (required): Specifies a password as a SecureString object. To create a SecureString object that contains a password, use the Read-Host cmdlet and specify the *AsSecureString* parameter.
-Path (required): Specifies a provider drive and path or relative path on the current drive. Use a dot (.) to specify the current location. This parameter does not accept wildcards and has no default value.
-SavedFile (required): Specifies the full path and filename of the file that receives the exported content.
-V1Compatible: Allows the trusted publishing domain to be imported to Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) 1.0.
-WhatIf: Shows what would happen if the cmdlet runs. The cmdlet is not run.

Prerequisites

Windows with the ADRMSADMIN module and the Windows feature or management tools that provide it. Confirm target connectivity and version compatibility using the linked Microsoft reference.

Security considerations

This cmdlet changes system state. Review every target and parameter in the official reference, test outside production, and prepare an appropriate backup or rollback. Do not execute the example automatically.

Examples

Example 1: Export a TPD by ID

Export-RmsTPD -Path ".\100" -SavedFile "c:\temp\test.xml"

This command exports the TPD with the ID of 100 to the file C:\temp\test.xml. Because the *Password* parameter is not specified, the command prompts for the password. Source: Microsoft, CC BY 4.0; transcript prompt/output removed. This example was not executed.
